Manchester United fans react angrily to Ashley Young's one year contract extension

Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension.  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team.  Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias.  Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. "  Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain".  Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. You can't be renewing Ashley's contract while there are real loopholes to cover.. it's getting out of hand".  Sad ones goes this way: "Why, just why would you do that? He is part of the dead wood that they need clearing out "This ...

The sad reason why Liverpool can't win the Caraboa Cup?

Image
Liverpool are competing in five fronts this season {the World Club Cup, the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Caraboa Cup} and every fan will be dreaming of seeing them win it all.

But achieving that fate will be hard knowing that Jurgen Klopp's team is thin at the moment and lacks the fire power to push in all front. Apart from Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane there's nobody else in the team that can guarantee Liverpool 20 goals in all competition this season.

Divorck Origi though is an exception but the 25-year-old Belgium international is more of an impact substitute rather than a game change.

With that in mine would it be smart to risk Salah, Firmino and Mane- who is already suffering from a dead leg and knock- in the Caraboa?

Is the Caraboa Cup so important that Jurgen Klopp will be willing to risk the world best trio in a $2m worth cup.

If no, then there's no point prioritize the match knowing that Liverpool's three objectives this season is winning the Club World Cup {for the first time}, the Premier League title {for the first time} and retaining the Champions League trophy.

Liverpool will play MK Dons on Wednesday before facing Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and later Salzburg on Tuesday in a must win Champions League encounter.

That is to say they will play three different teams in three different competition in nine days.. No player in the world can withstand than intensity and don't break down..

With that known let just hope Liverpool's fringe players can at least exit the competition with pride.

Why Tottenham's decision to sack Mauricio Pochettino don't make sense

How do you replace a manager like that?  Muaricio Pochettino was arguably the best manager in the world last season having lead Tottenham Hotspur to the final of the Champions League  without signing a single player in 18 months despite having numerous injury problems and also playing most of last season at Wembley.  To reach the club first ever Champions League final was memorable and will take years for another manager to replicate that achievement.  This season might not have started as Spurs have planned. They've won just 3 times, drawn 5 and lost 4 and now sit 14 points off 4 placed Manchester City.  Yes! the Champions League gap is wide but a manager of such quality can turn things around in an instant once the club gives him the backing he wants, sign very good players and retain the service of players who have consistently proven they're good enough to stay. It will difficult finding another top class manager who let the president Deny Levy make all...

The 3 reasons why Manchester City might never win the Champions League under Guardiola

Winning the Champions League is difficult, a very difficult competition that only few clubs in Europe have managed to win in history.  Real Madrid might have made a mockery of how difficult it is by winning it 13 times of which 3 were won in quick succession. But over the years it has shown that achieving that fate involves more than just having Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.  It requires having a world class team alongside with a very good bench that can rival the best teams in Europe.  The team and manager must believe its possible to beat the best and be the best at all times. That self believe is what is lacking in Manchester City and hampering their progress in the Champions League.  Pep Guardiola might have won it 2 times with Barcelona but winning it again with Manchester City will be much harder.  Why? The fans don't believe, they're not as passionate as fans in Anfield who always give their players the aura of gods when they pla...

From £90m to just £15m: Thomas Muller finally heading to Liverpool

According to Bild, Thomas Muller will join a Premier League team this summer after growing disillusioned with life on the bench. The 30-year-old is currently relegated to the bench and only used sparingly to give rest to the likes of Philippe Coutinho or Sergi Gnaby. Such demotion from Niko Kovac has hurt him deeply and now he wants to move to bigger and better club.  Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of his German World Cup and once tried to convince him to join him at Liverpool back in 2017..  Klopp was ready to pay £90m to bring him to Anfield but, Muller felt Bayern Munich still loved him and were capable of winning both domestic and European trophies.  He was absolutely right with that assertion back in 2017 but today, Muller is back up player who can't even get into a team that contains the likes Sergi Gnabry, Philippe Coutinho, Kingsley Coman and others.  Fed up with having to watch others player while he sits on the bench, Muller has reportedly spoke...

Sadio Mane is a superhero and 5 things we learnt as Liverpool beat Aston Villa 2-1

What a comeback! Liverpool have beaten Aston Villa 2-1 to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.  The game was good to watch as both side created chances and had attempts on goal. Aston Villa found the back of the net from a set piece scored by Mahmoud Hassan who found the back of the net with a good strike.  65 minutes and Aston Villa still had the ascendancy which forced Jurgen Klopp to take off Mohamed Salah, Gini Wijnaldum and later Adam Lallana for Oxlade Chamberlian, Divock Origi and Naby Keita.  All three changes might Liverpool had to go for the kill and boy! did they.. In the 87th minute, a sublime cross from Sadio Mane found Andrew Robertson who powered in the equalizer and later, Mane finished the rest with a fantastic header..  Liverpool win and now have six points lead over Manchester City who they play next at Anfield.  Here are the five things we learnt 1. Sadio Mane is a super hero but he has to stop going down easily-  ...

Confirmed: Manchester City close in on signing Benfica's £59m defender Ruben Dias

According to the Mirror, Manchester City are closing in on signing Benfica's highly rated defender Ruben Dias.  Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of the defender and has earmarked him as the right player to provide the defensive cover for his shaky back line. The 22-year-old is currently regarded as one of the finest defender in the game and his phenomenal skill sets makes him the ideal player to fit into City straight away.  Although he will cost lot of money to sign at the moment due to his huge release clause.  Dias will cost any team interested in his service £59m to sign which is £21m less than what Manchester United paid to sign the world most expensive defender Harry Maguire.  City at the moment are currently short at the back, they've just three centre backs and one make shift defender in Fernandinho..  Unfortunately, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones are injured meaning City are forced to play Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho at the back.
