Chris Walder warns Liverpool: Sheffield United won't lose at Anfield

Chris Wilder has lauded praises on Liverpool and their iconic stadium 'Anfield' but warns, that his team aren't coming to Merseyside to lose like others.  Liverpool haven't lost a game in 52 matches neither have they lost a match at Anfield since April 2017. This season, they've won 17 games and drawn just once to Manchester United.. Powerful!  But, Sheffield United also boast a remarkable record. They've suffered just one away defeat to Manchester City which many believe was enabled by referee Chris Kavanagh.  Wilder believe Liverpool will be tough but his team can give them a fight.  "Going to Anfield, iconic stadium, fabulous experience, everything that Liverpool bring to the English game", Walder said during his press conference.  "They are the most powerful, historic of clubs in our game and going so well.  "But we'd like to put a little bump in their road, as we tried to do at Manchester City".

He's back! Liverpool's forgotten man Nathaniel Clyne returns to training

Liverpool's right back Nathaniel Clyne has returned to light training after overcoming cruciate knee ligament injury that ruled for six months.  Clyne haven't been missed, Liverpool have grown from strength to strength and won trophies without even mentioning a world about him.  His main rival Trent Alexander Arnold has cemented himself as Anfield legend and forever will be remembered for that brilliant pass to Divock Origi against Barcelona.  Its now obvious Clyne will be sold in the January transfer window if the club can find a suitable buyer for the 27-year-old.

He leaves in the summer: Should Liverpool extend Adam Lallana's contract?

Liverpool could be losing one of its tried and tested superstar Adam Lallana whose contract runs down in the summer.  The 31-year-old will have the option to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club of his choice on Wednesday when the January transfer window opens.  According to the Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp still wants him in the team and will offer him a year contract at the end of the summer.  Lallana meanwhile has told friends he wants more football under his belt having recovered from years of persistent injuries and fatigue.  If the midfielder those leave Liverpool, he will leave as a Champions League winner, a Club World Cup winner, a Super Cup winner and soon, a Premier League winner.  The question now remains should Liverpool sell him or offer him a one year contract?

Aguero admits: Liverpool will be champions not City

Manchester City's all time goal scorer Sergio Aguero has all but given up on City's chances of winning this season's Premier League title due to the incredible form of Liverpool.  Liverpool are 14 points clear of City having won 17 games and drawn just once.. They still have a game in hand against West Ham and a win could see them move 17 points clear of City.  Aguero can't see City catching Liverpool and feels its just too hard to even think about it.  "Now, Liverpool is too hard. We have to focus just on winning because we need to play Champions League next season", Aguero told Reuters.  "We have to play the same way and see what happens." City manager Pep Guardiola later added: "It's unrealistic to think about {catching Liverpool. "When a team has the numbers that Liverpool has, why should we think about it, when we are 14 or 17 points behind?"  City will play Everton next on New Year's Day before turning atte...

Scholes: Liverpool have done something Manchester United have never done

Manchester United legend Paul Scoles has lavished praises on Liverpool who is said have already wrapped up the Premier League title.  Scholes can't see anybody catching Liverpool this season who are 13 points off Leicester City and 14 points off reigning champions Manchester City.  The scary part of Liverpool's is that they could move 16 points clear of second place Leicester City if they beat West Ham in their outstanding match.  "I don't think we'd {Manchester United} ever won it by Christmas", Scholes told Premier League Productions.  "This team- look it's game over, there's nobody {who is going to catch them}. I think the question now is how many points they going to win it by, i think they're so good.  "City have a team if any team could get anywhere near them but i don't expect that to happen. I just think Liverpool are too good. I think the biggest fight we've got now this season is probably the relegation fight ...

Mane: We will sacrifice ourselves to win trophies for Liverpool

Liverpool might wrapped up the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup under Sadio Mane's watch but the Senegalese wants more.  Mane wants to win Liverpool's first ever Premier League title along with the FA Cup and the Champions League trophy.  But doing it will be tedious due to the congested nature of the Premier League but Mane is a believer along with his teammates. They're all ready to sacrifice whatever it takes to win trophies for Liverpool and themselves.  "That's why we are working harder to get better and better, to learn from the mistake. Last year was a little bit tough for us and i think we learnt  a lot from it", Mane told BBC Sport.  "We are better this season than last year. It's another adventure and we know it's many games to play for but we keep it one by one. We want to win something with the team and i think you have to sacrifice yourself and that's for sure.  "Tiredness is alway...

Asked about Liverpool's trip to Doha will affect their fitness, Vardy added: "I don't think that comes to it at all.  "Every professional footballer...

PSG are reportedly monitory Liverpool's sensational attacker Sadio Mane who they feel possess the world class ability to replace Neymar.  Neymar will certainly rejoin Barcelona, it is just a matter of time and PSG don't want to be on the losing side and have already began holding talks with Sadio's agent. Signing Mane won't be easy, he is currently playing for the best club in the world; have lots of friends at Anfield who are mostly Africans and have lifted the biggest trophy in European football- The Champions League.  You can say he is very relaxed at Liverpool and loves the type of football they currently play.  The 27-year-old Senegalese international was once asked about leaving Liverpool, he replied:  "Why would i want to leave Liverpool?  "The way they play i can't see any team beating them and i really don't want to be facing them with another team".  Mane is right with that assertion, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool is very h...

Should Liverpool sign £100m rated Jadon Sancho?

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has called on Liverpool key decision makers when it comes on signing players (Jurgen Klopp {coach}, Micheal Edwards {sporting director} and Micheal Gordon {club director) not to sign Jadon Sancho.  Nicol though feel the 19-year-old England international will be useful addition to the squad but questions where he will play if he those join Liverpool.  He can't bench Sadio Mane who is without doubt, the world best player neither can he bench Mohamed Salah or Roberto Firmino.. It won't make sense to sign a player for  £ 100m and then bench him.  "I don't think {Sancho} would start but it would be fantastic to have him in teh squad", Nicol told ESPN FC.  "As good as Divock Origi has been at times, i would prefer if Liverpool did what City did with {Gabriel} Jesus. They got  him when he was very young as wasn't expecting to start and he came along.  "Sancho would be expecting to start and that's the problem. You...

Gabriel Jesus reveals why Liverpool will struggle this December

Gabriel Jesus still believes Manchester City has what it takes to beat Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season.  The Brazilian attacker thinks Liverpool will struggle this December due to their tightly congested fixture and their history of always failing apart when it really matters.  Even last season when it all seems Liverpool will finally win the title having amassed 97 points {the club's highest point tally} they still failed to beat City to the Premier League itl.  "We have only played 15 fixtures and, in spite of being only December, we are 8 points behind Liverpool, so obviously, at this point, it is very difficult", Jesus told Sky Sports.  "But i think we are still in early stages of the season, there are a lot of games to play. December is always a crucial month for the championship, so we need to be very focus and try to win game by game.  "Liverpool have a lot of games and i don't see them winning all the matches". ...

Sean Dyche reveals the ugly truth behind Liverpool's success and why City can't compete

Burnley manager Sean Dyche believes Liverpool have shelved aside attractive football and focused more on grinding out result.  The Reds aren't the best footballing side in the Premier League but their resolute display and winning mentality have helped massively in keeping them on top of the league.   Liverpool are 8 points clear of second placed Leicester City having won 13 games and drawn just once all season.  Dyche feels the Reds have the edge over City who struggling for consistency due to injuries.  "Liverpool are learning that when it's not quite their day the can win", Dyche told the Associated Press.  "They can win ugly when they have to. I think that's a big step forward. If you want to win the title you've got to win as many games in as many different ways as you can.  "I think Liverpool have moved forward with that. I think they had a tight one on Saturday {against Brighton}, but they won, and i think that's an important f...

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp reveals who will replace 'injured Fabinho in midfield'

Liverpool FC have confirmed Fabinho will be sidelined for the next 6- 8 weeks with a ankle injury. The Brazilian will miss roughly 10 games including the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled to be held in Qatar.  His absence will be felt, knowing he has developed into of the best holding midfielders in the world. But Liverpool have enough midfielders reckons Jurgen Klopp who has pinpointed 3 players who he think can play that role.  Naby Keita, Adam Lallana, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson are the four players Klopp believe can play that role.  Realistically, only Jordan Henderson can play that role perfectly due to his physical strength, tenacious tackling and discipline..  "Naby is OK. No more injuries from Napoli other than Fabinho", Klopp told reporters during his press conference.  'It's an opportunity for someone, of course. Hendo, Gini and Lallana have all played it. We can system too. Losing a player of Fab's quality is a blow but we are not th...

Jermaine Pennant reveals what will cost Liverpool the Premier League title

Jermaine Pennant has revealed what he thinks will be Liverpool's biggest problem en-route to winning the Premier League.  Pennant admits they've a talented squad with lots of experience who have gone the distance to win the Premier League title only to be pipped by Liverpool. He feels Liverpool's only Achilles heel will be injuries to their key players.  Injuries to superstars like Fabinho, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Van Dijk could instantly derail their progress.  "The team has all it takes to go unbeaten and win the Premier League title", Pennant told 888 Sports.  "But you feel the team can also be stopped when the top players in the team get injured. Liverpool have four or five players that make the difference and once they're not there you kind of see a drop in standard".  Liverpool play Brighton next at Anfield and will be hoping to continue to march to the Premier League title.

His absence will be largely felt knowing he has developed a knack in scoring goals against Liverpool.  Napoli squad to face Liverpool: Goalkeepers- Meret, Karnezis, Ospina; Defenders- Di Lorenzo, Koulibaly, Mario Rui, Luperto, Manolas, Maksimovic, Hysaj; Midfielders- Allan, Elmas, Fabian, Gaetano, Zielinski; strikers- Llorente, Callejon, Mertens, Younes, Lozano.  Napoli will need a win to qualify to the round of 16 but beating Liverpool at Anfield is almost impossible. They last time they lost a game at Anfield was April 2017. Since then, they've played 44 matches, winning 38 and drawing 6.. Fortress!

Liverpool 2-1 Crystal: Firmino is no average striker and 5 things we learnt

Another game, another victory, Liverpool have finally discovered how to grind out results even when playing way below average.  Palace were good to watch, they stopped Liverpool's swashbuckling football in the first 15 minutes of play and put them to the sword by scoring the first goal only for VAR {Video Assistant Referee} to choke it off.  The first half might have ended in stalemate but the second half saw Liverpool take the initiative through Sadio Mane whose snap shot evaded everyone and found the back of the net.  Wilfred Zaha did restore parity to keep Palace fans believing but in the dying minute, Firmino scored the winning goal to put Liverpool 2-1 up and eight points clear of Leicester City.  Here are the five things we learnt:  1. Van DIjk is a monster, he is a world class defender-  Where will Liverpool be without Van Dijk? Porbably in 7th place or most likely 10th. He won every aerial ball, tussled with Jordan Ayew and came out on ...

Manchester City stars reacts to Pep Guardiola returning to Bayern Munich

Vincent Kompany, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva have all tagged reports linking Pep Guardiola to Bayern Munich as 'bulls**t'. Guardiola did manage Bayern Munich for three seasons and won 8 trophies before joining Manchester City back in 206. He left as a fulfilled man having joined Germany's biggest club, revolutionized their playing style and made them a force to reckon with.  Having achieved everything he wanted to at Bayern Munich, Guardiola took the next step in his managerial career by signing a contract with Manchester City.   His first season in the Premier League was difficult, City finished trophy-less but still managed to finish in the top four.  Surprisingly, he was nicknamed 'Fraudiola' by jealous fans who felt his style of play can never be implemented in the fast and furious Premier League.  But rather than run for cover, Guardiola was bold and courageous, he knew his style of play can be implemented in any league and still su...

Bernando Silva reveals what two interesting things about Liverpool

Manchester City star Bernando Silva has praised Liverpool's incredible display and their ability to see out game without a fuss. Silva did get City's consolation goal but he wasn't in the mood to talk about the penalty controversy but rather focused on how Liverpool play, their attacking style and atmosphere in Anfield.  Liverpool are nine points clear of City and 8 points clear of second placed team- Leicester City.  Asked first about the penalty controvers and later about the match, Bernando said:  "I have not seen it yet. You guys should analyse it not me. If i speak i will be in trouble. I don't want to speak. I have not watched it", a defiant Silva replied.  "I think we played one of the best sides in the world, it's never easy in a stadium like Anfield. We had started better than them when we conceded the first goal. First counter, first goal, you cannot give them an inch, because if you do they will take it and score goals".  ...

Jermaine Jenas: Christian Eriksen will consider joining Liverpool in the summer

Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas is urging Christian Eriksen not to leave Spurs in hurry as the January transfer window draws closer.  Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will want to sell him to this January to realise some cash but Jenas feels it will be wise for him to stay until the end of the season.  Eriksen will be out of contract in the summer and will be free to join Europe's biggest club including Liverpool whose manager -Jurgen Klopp- is a huge admirer of the dane.   "I think the club were happy to let him leave but they just didn't get the figure that they wanted or Christian didn't get the club that he wanted", Jenas told The Mirror.  "If i was Eriksen and the bid didn't come in that i wanted to come in, i would sit tight, i wouldn't rush. Not only can i move for free in the summer, but that brings in Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, all the big hitters, Man Utd, even Liverpool.  "On top of that you have the huge windfall of w...

Breaking: Manchester City highly rated midfielder recovers in time to face Liverpool

Manchester City's highly rated star Rodri has returned to training ahead of Liverpool showdown.  The defensive midfielder/centre back has missed two of City's last two Premier League wins over Aston Villa and Southampton due to a hamstring injury..  His recovery will come as huge boast for City who will face Liverpool next at Anfield.  Anfield is a fortress and City are fully aware of this having failed to win there since 2003 neither have the club's record goalscorer Sergio Aguero scored at Anfeild.  Rodri though will not take part in full session and will miss City's Champions League clash with Atalanta but will be ready for Liverpool.

Rivaldo reveals why Pep Guardiola is convinced Man City will be champions and not Liverpool

Brazil legend Rivaldo has bruised aside the assertion that Pep Guardiola has given up in the title race due to Liverpool's 8 point gap in the league.  The Reds are unbeaten this season and have picked up maximum points to move 8 clear of Manchester City who suffered defeats to Norwich City and then Wolves at Etihad Stadium.  Rivaldo who played alongside Guardiola at Barcelona for four seasons has revealed that the Spanish tactician is very calm, experienced and possess a strong winning mentality.  Asked if Guardiola can overtake Liverpool once again and win the Premier League title, Rivaldo said:  "Personally, knowing Guardiola having shared the Barcelona changing room with him, i know he is a very calm, experienced and strong person, who knows his players well", Rivaldo told Betfair.  "With so many more matches to play in this Premier League title race, i think he knows Manchester City can overturn their eight-point deficit to Liverpool. Guardiola ha...

Gundogan reveals 2 games Manchester City must win OR lose the Premier League title to Liverpool

IIkay Gundogan still believes Manchester City have a big chance to win the Premier League title but must win two games.  City will play Liverpool twice at the Eithad Stadium and Anfield and a victory in both matches will certainly throw Jurgen Klopp's men off balance.  Its a known fact that Liverpool have won their matches this season and now eight points clear of City after eight games.  But Gundogan still has faith that Liverpool will drop points when the games become intense.  "The situation is not a new one for us - we were seven points behind in January of last season, which is a house number, a big gap", Gundogan said after scoring a brace for Germany in a 3-0 win over Estonia.  "But we play against Liverpool twice more, we have the direct duels and we can cut the gap to two points. Everything is still on", Gundogan told Sky Sports.  Manchester City will play Liverpool on November 10 and return fixture will be played on April 4th at Etihad ...

Van Nistelrooy is absolutely wrong! Lionel Messi don't deserve to win the Ballon d'Or

uud van Nistelrooy assertion that Lionel Messi deserves the Ballon d'Or ahead of other nominated players is absolutely wrong.  Lionel Messi is indeed a world class player, a dream player every team in the world will want to have but, last season wasn't his best campaign. He did score a respectable tally of goals -50 goals in 54 appearances- which is phenomenal but winning the Ballon d'Or takes more than that this days.  In the grandest of stage, Messi failed to light it up. He failed in Europe {the Champions League} and Brazil {the Copa America}. In both competition, Messi struggled to make any meaningful impact.  Barcelona were blown away by Liverpool at Anfield despite arriving the ground with a 3-0 win with Messi scoring one of the best free-kicks in the tournaments history. And with Argentina who finished 3rd in the Copa America, Messi found the net just once.  Dani Alves 34, was the player of the Tournament and not Messi who was...

Injury boast! 4 Manchester City stars returns in time to face Crystal Palace

Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Benjamin Mendy and John Stones will both been in contention to start for Manchester City after training with the first team on Monday ahead of their weekend game with Crystal Palace.  John Stones will provide the much needed defensive cover for City who have already 8 points adrift of Liverpool after just 8 games.  Selhurst Palace is to easy place for City, they managed to win 2 of their last five games there, while conceding 5 as to 9 goals scored.  De Bruyne though will be tasked with opening up Roy Hodgson's well drilled defense and provide the incisive passes needed for Sergio Aguero or Raheem Sterling to score the winning goals.  Pep Guardiola and City know that Liverpool have proritized winning the Premier League title this season and will do everything possible to win it. They lose a game but maybe one or two.
