What a player Joel Matip has turn out to be be. The former Schalke 04 defender has grown in stature and class and without doubt, one of the best defender in the world.  His partnership with Van Dijk have been sensational, both men have created the perfect platform for Liverpool to win 16 consecutive matches on the spin. Manchester City Bernando Silva has gotten himself into a messy situation by using racist jokes on his friend and teammate Benjamin Mendy.  Silva compared Mendy to the mascot of Spanish confectionery brand, Conguitos and later posted a indiscriminately video about Mendy's skin.  The 26-year-old asked Mendy if he was wearing clothes despite knowing he is fully dressed in all blacks. Barcelona are in that crucifix of deciding what happens next when Lionel Messi decides his body can no longer carry him and its time he left or, request for more rest than game time.  Messi is 32-years-old but the diminutive Argentina has carried Barcelona on his shoulder for 13 of the last 15 years he has played for them.  He has won them 32 trophies including 4 Champions League trophies and 4 FIFA Club World Cups. Liverpool are competing in five fronts this season {the World Club Cup, the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Caraboa Cup} and every fan will be dreaming of seeing them win it all. But achieving that fate will be hard knowing that Jurgen Klopp's team is thin at the moment and lacks the fire power to push in all front. Lionel Messi is the FIFA World Best Player for the sixth time in history but something is not right about the voting system.  Olympic team coach Shakwy Ghareeb and Egypt national captain Ahmed Elmohamady have both come out to say their votes weren't counted. Virgil van Dijk is a world class defender, a leader and above all a professional player who knows ever detail of his job and how to do it.
