Guardiola reveals what Manchester City must do against 'wounded Southampton'

Image
Pep Guardiola is expecting to see a complete revival from Southampton who were brutally beaten by Leicester City on Friday.

Southampton suffered a 9-0 defeat at Saint Mary which is the biggest loss by a home team in the competition's history. City have already scored eight goals in a game this season- and themselves scored nine in the Caraboa Cup last season against Burton Albion in the semi-final first leg at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola knows its will be unwise to underestimate Ralph Hasenhutti's men who are the moment are looking for the perfect opportunity to make their incredible fans proud.

"It's not easy of course but at the same time i think they are incredible professionals', Guardiola said during his press conference.

"The manager will be sad for one night, one moment, but after that they have to move forward. The players are professionals and will do their best. I am not going to judge Southampton or prepare for the games on that result against Leicester."

For the past two seasons, Manchester City have lost just once in 23 games in Caraboa Cup. Guardiola and his City team are just meant for this trophy..

"It's a little bit strange, red card, first goal, then after that, every time they arrive in the first minute, goal, goal. Ten players against 11, against Leicester, you know the team Leicester are.

"It's not easy. But it's different competitions Carabao and Premier League and we try to face good games".

Manchester City will play Southampton next in the Caraboa Cup and later, than them next in the Premier League.

Against Lithuania, it sparked him back to live and give him another reason to keep fighting and proving to each and everyone who doubted him that he is the best player in the world. Put it this way, Ronaldo's rebirth is good news not just to Portugal but to Juventus and Ma...
