Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension.  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team.  Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias.  Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. "  Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain".  Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. You can't be renewing Ashley's contract while there are real loopholes to cover.. it's getting out of hand".  Sad ones goes this way: "Why, just why would you do that? No Ronaldo, no goals! Real Madrid in self destruct mode as Champions League exit looms

Image
What an impact a single player can make in a team. Real Madrid had that player once in Cristiano Ronaldo, a superstar who single handily created chances and won matches on his own.

He was able to win 14 trophies with Real Madrid did also manage to become the clubs' record goalscorer with 369 goals and assists 114.. He is arguably the greatest player ever to play for Real Madrid but the mistake Los Blancos made was not to find an adequate replacement for the 40 goals per season striker.

Real Madrid are in self destruct mode evident from their present struggle and lack of consistency. This season Madrid haven't won back to back games neither have they scored more than 20 goals this season.

The goalkeeping department is presently in shambles, Thibaut Courtois have conceded nine goals in his last 14 shots. In fact, half of the 24 shots he's faced this season have flown past him. The midfield is decline while the attacker apart from Karim Benzema are not scoring goals.

Painfully, Madrid's $300m acquisition have failed to hit the ground running. Eden Hazard who should've been the man pulling the string in Madrid is fat and out of shape.

Madrid have lost and draw their first two Champions League matches against PSG and Club Brugge and must now win against Galatarasay.

A defeat or draw will be the end of Madrid's run in the Champions League and for the first time in 20 years, the 13 times Champions League winner will have to settle for the Europa League.

A disaster is about to happen in Madrid and someone will surely pay for it. Zinedine Zidane or Florentino Perez, someone will have to step down and it looks like the latter.

Revealed: Mo Salah is still injured with an ankle injury and now needs injections to play

Its difficult to  fathom the sort of pain Mohamed Salah goes through before and after playing a football match.  The Liverpool winger is still suffering an ankle injury sustained against Leicester City almost one moment. The culprit remains Hamaza Choudhury whose nasty challenge sent Salah to the ground in agony.  Sadly, Salah trains alone, the medical staff and coaches have tailored a specific training programmee for him in a bid to help him recover as quickly as possible. Before a game is played, the fluid in his ankle is drained and later he is injected with pain killers 'presumably' to reduce the pain he will feel.  Asked about Salah's injury, Jurgen Klopp said during his press conference: "He should be fine. He has had to do his individual stuff but he will be in training {on Friday}.  "I think it is more really annoying- for him, not me- the fact that the injury always has a bit of fluid in, and he has to deal with it, we get it out an...

Murphy: Sadio Mane will be fired up to play Manchester City and Guardiola

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy feels Pep Guardiola has made a big mistake by insinuating Sadio Mane is a 'diver'. Mane is the Premier League's most improved player and he is the reason Liverpool are six points clear of the chasing pack. Winding him up right before Manchester City go to Anfield where they've failed to win in over 16 years don't make sense. Murphy thinks Guardiola never planned to reveal what he thinks about the Senegalese and now forced to regret that statement. "I don't think Pep went to { the press conference} with that in his head, i think he was just triggered by a question about the result at Villa Park and it's just come out", Murphy told talkSPORT. "In hindsight he might look back on that and think, 'i wish i hadn't said that'. If i was him, the last thing i'd want to do is wind up the best player in the Premier League at the moment and before you play him next week". Sadio Mane...

Pep Guardiola praises Liverpool duo Alexander Arnold and Andy Robertson

Pep Guardiola has lauded praises on Liverpool' sensational fullback Trent Alexander Arnold and Andy Robertson.  Both fullbacks have provided the width and creativity currently lacking in Reds team midfield. They have created more assists than all of Liverpool midfielders combined {23 to 6}.  In fact, Arnold has a Guinness World Record for the most assist by a defender in a single season {13}.  Guardiola is fully aware of their attacking prowess and has decided to praise them.  "The quality they have. If you play high, they get in behind. They are so fast", Guardiola said during his press conference.  'Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are incredible crosses. They have fantastic headers, they win second balls. It's a real complete team".

De Bruyne warns: I don't care about the record at Anfield, we will beat Liverpool

Kevin De Bruyne has bruised aside the popular notion that Manchester City will always lose at Anfield when they face Liverpool.  City are yet to win at Anfield since 2003 but De Bruyne thinks its all meaningless statistics that will be ended on Sunday.  A draw at Anfield will be ok but a win will be fantastic for Pep Guardiola and City who will close the gap to 3 points and pile pressure on Liverpool. But a defeat will hand the initiative to Liverpool who will move 9 points clear of the reigning champions. Asked about the record, De Bruyne said: "What can a player do with statistics like this?" the midfielder asked reporters.  "It's for you guys to keep track, i don't care. The big games are the ones you want to play and win.  "I prefer to play in that than when there is nobody there. Professionals want to play in front of 50,50, 70, 80 thousand people and it makes it worthwhile. You train all your life to get to the big stages".  De Bruyne...

Pep Guardiola attacks Liverpool star Sadio Mane: He is a talent but he dives a lot!

Pep  Guardiola has reacted to Liverpool's sensational comeback against Aston Villa and Sadio Mane play acting.  Against Aston Villa, Liverpool were lucky to crawl back from from Trezequet's 21st minute goal and on go on to win. They scored two goals in seven minutes to clinch the winner through Andy Robertson and Sadio Mane.  Mane though was brilliant but Guardiola feels the Senegalese has developed the habit of going down too easily. He now play acts to win Liverpool games. He did it against Leicester City and then against Tottenham to give Liverpool all three points.   But against Aston Villa, Mane went down too easily which Pep Guardiola now feels he no play acts a lot.  "It has happened many times, what Liverpool have done, in the last few years, it's because {Sadio Mane} is a special talent", Guardiola told BBC Sport.  "Sometimes he's diving, sometimes he has this talent to sore incredible goals in the last minute. He's a talent". ...

Napoli ready to sell Lorenzo Insigne to Liverpool for $60m after player mutiny

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly sanctioned the sell of all his senior players after they bluntly refused to attend a training session scheduled to be held at the Castel Volturno training ground.  The training sesssion was meant to arrest their decline and help them keep pace with Juventus and Inter Milan who are pulling clear of the rest. Napoli are seventh in the Seria A table, 13 points behind Juventus after just 12 games.  The ring leader and captain of the team Lorenzo Insigne is free to leave Napoli this January if any club can offer $60m for his service. Jurgne Klopp is a huge fan of the 28-year-old Italian international and has never hidden his desire to sign him when he is available. Rafa Benitez reveals what will happen to Liverpool if they lose to Manchester City at Anfield

Former Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez is backing his former team to finally win the Premier League title.  Liverpool are unbeaten in the Premier League this season, they're six point clear of second placed Manchester City who they play next at Anfield.  A win will move them 9 points clear from the rest of the pack and further cement their hold in the League title. But a defeat will be catastrophic, Jurgen Klopp and his team will be under immerse pressure from the press who will instantly judge their credibility.  Benitez don't want to see that happen but warns Liverpool against complacency.  "Liverpool are six points clear at the top of the Premier League and they are favourities to win the title. It has been a long time coming", Benitez told Sky Sports.  "Jurgen Klopp's side have the intensity, they have the quality, they can play counter-attack or they can sustain their attacking. They have a lot of very good players and they're extremely com...

Jurgen Klopp reveals three areas Liverpool must improve

Salzburg's sensational comeback to draw Liverpool 3-3 before losing 4-3 have stunned not just the fans who watched the exhilarating match but Jurgen Klopp who feels something has to change.  The gaffer had to withdraw his captain Jordan Henderson whose side ways and backward passing killed of the momentum attack as well as Gini Wijnaldum who struggled to impose himself on the game.  He replaced Henderson with James Milner to provide the steel and combativeness in midfield and Divock Origi to provide more firepower upfront. The substitution did work as Liverpool were able to score in 69th minute thanks to Mohamed Salah's well taken strike. But Klopp has revealed he wants three things to change in the team:  1. The defense must be alert at all times-  Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk didn't click at all and saw Liverpool concede three avoidable goals. Although the first goal was sensational but the remaining two could've been cleared if Joel Mati...

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp corrects Pep Guardiola: Sadio Mane is not a diver!

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dismissed the claim from Pep Guardiola his star striker Sadio Mane is a diver.  Mane has twice gone down in the box to win Liverpool penalties against Leicester City and Tottenham Htospur but against Aston Villa, his simulation was just too obvious and that earned him a booking..  Guardiola watched his dive and felt Mane though posses the talent to score unbelievable goals but sometimes he dives.  Jurgen Klopp was asked if Pep Guardiola was right to assert Sadio Mane is a diver and he replied:  "I am not in a Manchester City mood at the moment", Klopp said during his press conference.  "I am 100% sure he only talks about Sadio. Don't know how he could have known about the incident so soon after the game. Sadio is not a diver! Contact at Villa, no penalty but was contact. Not like he jumped over".  Focusing on Manchester City clash, Klopp added: "I don't think about Manchester City, i don't have to tell...

Arsene Wenger reveals 3 things Manchester City must do to beat Liverpool at Anfield

Arsenal's greatest manager Arsene Wenger agrees that the blockbuster encounter between Liverpool and Manchester City will decide the destination of the Premier League title but completely disagrees that Liverpool will easily beat Manchester City at home.  City have won at Anfield since 2003 while the club's leading marksmen Sergio Aguero is yet to score there since joining the club, wow!  Ending that feat will be Guardiola's quest but before achieving that fate, the manager must fix three things.  1. Defensively, City must be good-  Liverpool have the best front three in world football in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and in form Sadio Mane, keep those three quiet and City have a 70% chance of winning or leaving with a draw.  The defensive must be tight, organised and composed..  2. Stop Liverpool's most creative player Trent Alexander Arnold from making attacking runs and crossing in dangerous balls into the 18-yard-box.  Tre...
