Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team. Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias. Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. " Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain". Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. You can't be renewing Ashley's contract while there are real loopholes to cover.. it's getting out of hand". Sad ones goes this way: "Why, just why would you do that? He is part of the dead wood that they need clearing out "This
Before Naby Keita joined Liverpool, most fans thought he was going to turn out to be the next Xabi Alonso who will offer the creativity currently lacking in Liverpool's dynamic midfield.
Oxlade Chamberlian, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, James Milner and Fabinho are all industrious and strong in tackling but, none of the above can orchestrate the ebb of flow from the midfield like Xabi Alonso once did; pass intricately or incisively in midfield and attack neither can they find runners in behind the defense.. {Fabinho though tries to do that}.
Keita can do all that and even more. He is very fast, strong and can dribble past players while driving forward to goal. He is more of a box to box midfielder, 'Yaya Toure' esque minus dribbling' than Xabi Alonso 'who was a world class deep playing midfielder'.
Probably that is why Liverpool paid RB Leipzig £52m for his service. But something is not right about the Guinea international.
He is never fit, always getting injured game after game. Since Naby Keita joined Liverpool, he has never played 10 games in a row. In fact, Keita has never played 5 games consecutively without picking up an injury.. Just like Daniel Sturridge who had the potential to become a world class striker but never lived up to the billing, Keita is following similar pattern.
Naby Keita would've made Liverpool the strongest team in the world if only he could stay fit and not break down time after time when he is becoming to gather momentum.
Painfully, his injuries and subsequent fitness issues might hinder his development and place him among the 'What could've been list', Liverpool currently have.
Harry Kewell, Daniel Sturridge, Fabio Aurelio, Daniel Agger and so many others never lived up to their billing because of injuries, hopefully, Keita don't become one of them.
