Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team. Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias. Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. " Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain". Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. You can't be renewing Ashley's contract while there are real loopholes to cover.. it's getting out of hand". Sad ones goes this way: "Why, just why would you do that? He is part of the dead wood that they need clearing out "This
Sadio Mane is the world's best left back, debatable, but a vast majority of Liverpool fans will agree that he is outstanding and a leader in front of the pack.
He fights for the team; puts his body on the line to get maximum points and wouldn't mind picking a fight with his teammates, opposition and even the coaching staff. Mane is born winner and his display proves it.
Former Tottenham and Manchester Untied forward Garth Crooks feels Liverpool are relying heavily on the Senegalese international.
Why, he has scored nine goals and providing three assists in 14 appearances and he was the reason they defeated Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield. Both games would've ended draws had Mane not gone down in the box.
Mane just knows Liverpool won't win it if he doesn't put his body on the line and he those.
"Two seasons ago it was Mohamed Salah who was carrying Liverpool", Crooks told BBC Sports.
"Last season it was Virgil van Dijk who had a massive influence on the success of the team. This season it's Sadio Mane who is carrying Liverpool on his shoulders. His speed, power and strength have been a feature of Liverpool's play this season and without the Senegal international, life at the top would be considerably less comfortable.
"It was Mane who caused mayhem in Tottenham's ranks the entire match and the reason they lost. With a little help from Serge Aurier, of course".
Mane is very important to Liverpool's set up but he is not Liverpool's most dominant player. The Jurgen Klopp's team is more reliant on Virgil van Dijk {best defender in the world}, Roberto Firmino {he links up attack and create chances for Mane, Salah and everyone}or Alexander Arnold {his set pieces, free-kicks, cross field pass and crosses are just exceptional}.
Put this way, Sadio Mane very, very important to Liverpool but, the present team is so strong that it doesn't have to rely on a single player like in the past to create chances or score goals before they win games.
With or without Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah in the starting line up this present Liverpool squad can boast of having at least 6 world class players.
