Manchester United fans react angrily to Ashley Young's one year contract extension

Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension.  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team.  Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias.  Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. "  Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain".  Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. You can't be renewing Ashley's contract while there are real loopholes to cover.. it's getting out of hand".  Sad ones goes this way: "Why, just why would you do that? He is part of the dead wood that they need clearing out "This ...

Chamberlian or Henderson: Who should Jurgen Klopp start against Manchester City?

Image
For the first time in 30 years Liverpool have a realistic chance of wining the Premier League title and on Sunday that dream might come true at Anfield.

They play Manchester City, a world class team built by the world's finest manager in Pep Guardiola who is attempting to win a third consecutive league title. If Liverpool win, they stretch their lead to nine points after 12 games and further cement their hold on the lead.

A draw won't be that bad for either side and league, cause the likes of Liecester City and Chelsea will further reduce the point gap at the top to 8 and 9 point respectively.

But to avoid a defeat, Jurgen Klopp will have to decide if starting Jordan Henderson will better than the inform Oxlade Chamberlian.

Jordan Henderson

Henderson might not the most creative player in Liverpool team nor the fastest, strongest or the most intelligent player but, he offers Jurgen Klopp something no other midfielder offers.

He will run into brick wall for the manager and club. He will kick, shove, push and tackle all day to win the ball back and then drive forward to attack. He is industrious, dynamic and passionate about the club and that's what makes him special.

Compared to Chamberlian, he is stronger and bigger than him and useful in defense and attack.

Oxlade Chamberlian

Chamberlian is the only midfielder in Liverpool who can start in the base of midfield and consistently score goals. He can defend and attack simultaneously which is good in all ramification..

With him in the team, Liverpool have another player who can offer similar goal threat like Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

What makes him special is that he can shoot from any range and still score, he doesn't have to arrive inside the box to score, any distant is enough for him to have a crack at goal. Ox has scored 4 goals in 4 games and one of his goal was nominated for the Champions League goal for week.

Surprisingly, Chamberlian has never lost a game to Manchester City in Liverpool colours neither has he drawn a match when he scored first, he always wins. There's something about City that he doesn't like, he comes to live when he faces them..

Klopp though will decide what is best for his team, pick Jordan Henderson and Liverpool's midfield and defense is further strengthened but pick, Chamberlian and Liverpool's attacking verve is further widened.

Manchester United 1- 1 Liverpool: Marcus Rashford is a beast and 5 things we learnt

For a while it felt like Manchester United were superior to Liverpool as their moved the ball much quicker, created good chances and opened the scoring through a magnificent ball to Marcus Rashford.  Rashford for one was just unstoppable, his energy, swagger and relentless running scared the death out of Liverpool's defense including Van Dijk who struggled all game to contain him.  He did score the goal that would've been the match winner but one area of judge from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer changed everything.  Taking off Rashford allowed Liverpool's defense to push forward and pile pressure on United's brittle back line.. It allowed Andrew Robertson cross a delicious ball into the 12-yard box which evaded everyone except Adam Lallana who needed just a tap in to score and restore parity.  Although, Liverpool did have the lion share of possession but without their star man, Mohamed Salah to stretch United defense, they really struggled to create chances....

Mane, Salah, Alisson or Van Dijk: Which Liverpool player deserve to win the Ballon d'Or?

For the first time in history, seven Liverpool players have made the shortlist of the Ballon d'Or.  Alisson Becker, Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander Arnold and Gini Wijnaldum have all made the list but the list don't feel right.  They're Liverpool players that really deserve to be that list. The likes of Andrew Robertson who is currently the best left back in the world contributed 11 assists with 2 goals last season en-route to Liverpool winning the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup should've been included.  Joel Matip also deserve to be included. His the best 'right centre back' in the world and the only defender capable of dribbling past defenders while marauding forward.  There's no other defender in world football who can take the ball from the back, skip past two or three defenders before lying out a pass or shooting accurately to goal. Matip is the only defender who posses that trait and that is enoug...

Fabinho could miss Manchester City clash: So should Liverpool rest him against Aston Villa?

Fabinho might have struggled for 5-6 months to make Liverpool's first team when he first arrived but now, he is one of those names Jurgen Klopp never omits in the first team..  He plays every game nowadays and makes key contributions to the team's game plan. His tackles, interceptions and dynamism remains one of the key reasons Liverpool are yet to lose a Premier League game this season.  But, the Brazilian tackles haven't been always good and have resulted to four yellow cards. If he picks up another against Aston Villa he will miss Liverpool's title deciding clash against Manchester City at Anfield.  No disrespect to Aston Villa, they're a good team but Liverpool don't really need Fabinho in the team to win.. Its going to tough no doubt about that, but the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner can play in his position and Liverpool will still win.  So should Liverpool play him or rest for the penultimate clash with Manchester City?
