Manchester United fans react angrily to Ashley Young's one year contract extension

Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension.  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team.  Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias.  Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. "  Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain".  Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. You can't be renewing Ashley's contract while there are real loopholes to cover.. it's getting out of hand".  Sad ones goes this way: "Why, just why would you do that? He is part of the dead wood that they need clearing out "This ...

10 years without a trophy! Its time Harry Kane ditch Tottenham Hotspur

Kane and his Tottenham team-mates were humiliated 7-2 on Tuesday night by Bayern Munich
Last season was memorable, Tottenham Hotspur were very close to lifting their first ever Champions League trophy. If they had won it, Spurs would've been the dream club of every elite player.

Superstars all over the world would've joined at the opportunity to play for them while the likes of Christian Eriksen, Vertonghen, Ross and others won't hesitate to extend their contract. But the defeat to Liverpool was sour and the bitter taste have lingered on till this very day.

Spurs have dropped to a level of mediocrity never seen before and questions are beginning to be asked about the manager's commitment to the club's course as well as players.

The top players are running down their contract with the view of moving else where there's a realistic chance of winning trophies.

That idea of leaving has gobsmacked Harry Kane who now knows he might never win a single trophy with Spurs despite having Mauricio Pochettino as his manager.

Why? Tottenham Hotspur are 10 points off pace-setters Liverpool in the Premier League after just seven matches and were dumped out of  the Caraboa Cup last week by League two side Colchester.

And on Tuesday, they were humiliated at their home stuff by Bayern Munich in the Champions League. The Bavarian giants thrashed Spurs 7-2 with Serge Gnabry scoring 4 goals.

Kane did score from the spot but the sheer quality of Bayern was just overwhelming.. Spurs might have reached the final of the Champions League last season but their decision not to invest heavily on signing top players to further strengthen the team is costing them.

The present team is not good enough to win a trophy neither are good enough to reach another Champions League final which bags the question, what is Harry Kane still doing at Spurs?

He is 26-years-old and running out of time to win trophies like other elites strikers. When will he win 10 to 12 trophies like Robert Lewandowski or Sergio Aguero? When will he win the Ballon d'Or or the FIFA World Best Player?

Harry Kane must think deep and ask this questions. He knows he is a world class striker but 10 at Spurs is enough, its time to ditch them and move on.

Manchester United 1- 1 Liverpool: Marcus Rashford is a beast and 5 things we learnt

For a while it felt like Manchester United were superior to Liverpool as their moved the ball much quicker, created good chances and opened the scoring through a magnificent ball to Marcus Rashford.  Rashford for one was just unstoppable, his energy, swagger and relentless running scared the death out of Liverpool's defense including Van Dijk who struggled all game to contain him.  He did score the goal that would've been the match winner but one area of judge from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer changed everything.  Taking off Rashford allowed Liverpool's defense to push forward and pile pressure on United's brittle back line.. It allowed Andrew Robertson cross a delicious ball into the 12-yard box which evaded everyone except Adam Lallana who needed just a tap in to score and restore parity.  Although, Liverpool did have the lion share of possession but without their star man, Mohamed Salah to stretch United defense, they really struggled to create chances....

Mane, Salah, Alisson or Van Dijk: Which Liverpool player deserve to win the Ballon d'Or?

For the first time in history, seven Liverpool players have made the shortlist of the Ballon d'Or.  Alisson Becker, Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander Arnold and Gini Wijnaldum have all made the list but the list don't feel right.  They're Liverpool players that really deserve to be that list. The likes of Andrew Robertson who is currently the best left back in the world contributed 11 assists with 2 goals last season en-route to Liverpool winning the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup should've been included.  Joel Matip also deserve to be included. His the best 'right centre back' in the world and the only defender capable of dribbling past defenders while marauding forward.  There's no other defender in world football who can take the ball from the back, skip past two or three defenders before lying out a pass or shooting accurately to goal. Matip is the only defender who posses that trait and that is enoug...
