Manchester United fans react angrily to Ashley Young's one year contract extension

Manchester United captain Ashley Young will not be joining Inter Milan next summer neither will he be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs having be given a one-year contract extension.  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the 34-year-old and feels his presence at the club will be useful to the younger players in the team.  Although, the decision to keep him at the club haven't gone down well with fan who vented angrily on different social medias.  Some of the tweet reads; "How the might have fallen.. "  Another aggrieved post reads: "The more Man U fans want to escape the more the owners give them pain".  Another reads: "This Ole and Co. are really taking us for granted. £235m for Kylian Mbappe: Should Liverpool still sign the Frenchman?

Everybody wants to sign Kylian Mbappe including Liverpool who have reportedly inquired about his World Cup winner. 

 The 20-year-old wants to compete with the likes of Lionel Messi, Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini on the number of trophies won and not necessary how many goals or assists he made a season. 

 Giggs has won 36 trophies, Paolo Maldini 34 and Lionel Messi 32 compared to Kylian Mbappe 9 which he wants to change. He is young and still has plenty of time, you might think but Mbappe knows now is the best time to move to top club capable of winning him the Champions League. 

 He doesn't want to be like Gigi Buffon, David Silva, Edinson Cavani or Zlatan Ibrahimovic who have won all domestic trophies at their respective club side but failed to win the Champions League. Mbappe wants to win everything and feels Liverpool is the right club to help him achieve that trophy. 

 But signing him will be too expensive for Liverpool.. 

 Mbappe will cost Liverpool or any club interested in his service £235m and command a weekly wage over £450,000 plus lucrative add-ons. 

 Added to that, he prefers to play in the right wing where Mohamed Salah currently plays  but he can also play as a centre forward. 

 The only problem is that he lacks the energy to press relentlessly from the front; the daft touches and vision to drop and orchestrate the flow of the game while playing selflessly for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to score. Simply put, he can't replace Bobby cause he loves to score goals and not provide assists for Salah and Mane.

 So should Liverpool go ahead and sign him?

Did Alexander Arnold commit two penalties against Manchester City?

Liverpool might have beaten Manchester City 3-1 at Anfield but they were controversial moments that shocked the world of football including Pep Guardiola.  The Spanish tactician was visibly seen screaming his lungs out to the fourth official Mike Dean, alerting him that Trent Alexander Arnold has just committed not just once but two penalties.. Arnold first handled the ball in the build to Liverpool's first goal and later, repeated the same theatrics as City were desperately looking for a second goal to pin back Liverpool.  Guardiola has never been furious like this before and if not for his years experience he would've said something about Micheal Oliver, Trent Alexander Arnold, the VAR and even Anfield crowd that kept cheering despite seeing the fouls.  The game is over and the score line can't be revised so the question remains, did Arnold real commit a penalty against Manchester City?

Scholes: Liverpool have done something Manchester United have never done

Liverpool 2-1 Crystal: Firmino is no average striker and 5 things we learnt

Chris Walder warns Liverpool: Sheffield United won't lose at Anfield

Chris Wilder has lauded praises on Liverpool and their iconic stadium 'Anfield' but warns, that his team aren't coming to Merseyside to lose like others.  Liverpool haven't lost a game in 52 matches neither have they lost a match at Anfield since April 2017. This season, they've won 17 games and drawn just once to Manchester United.. Powerful!  But, Sheffield United also boast a remarkable record. De Bruyne warns: I don't care about the record at Anfield, we will beat Liverpool

Kevin De Bruyne has bruised aside the popular notion that Manchester City will always lose at Anfield when they face Liverpool.  City are yet to win at Anfield since 2003 but De Bruyne thinks its all meaningless statistics that will be ended on Sunday.  A draw at Anfield will be ok but a win will be fantastic for Pep Guardiola and City who will close the gap to 3 points and pile pressure on Liverpool. But a defeat will hand the initiative to Liverpool who will move 9 points clear of the reigning champions. Injury boast! 4 Manchester City stars returns in time to face Crystal Palace

Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Benjamin Mendy and John Stones will both been in contention to start for Manchester City after training with the first team on Monday ahead of their weekend game with Crystal Palace.  John Stones will provide the much needed defensive cover for City who have already 8 points adrift of Liverpool after just 8 games.  Selhurst Palace is to easy place for City, they managed to win 2 of their last five games there, while conceding 5 as to 9 goals scored.  De Bruyne though will be tasked with opening up Roy Hodgson's well drilled defense and provide the incisive passes needed for Sergio Aguero or Raheem Sterling to score the winning goals.  Pep Guardiola and City know that Liverpool have proritized winning the Premier League title this season and will do everything possible to win it.
