What a player Joel Matip has turn out to be be. The former Schalke 04 defender has grown in stature and class and without doubt, one of the best defender in the world.  His partnership with Van Dijk have been sensational, both men have created the perfect platform for Liverpool to win 16 consecutive matches on the spin. Manchester City Bernando Silva has gotten himself into a messy situation by using racist jokes on his friend and teammate Benjamin Mendy.  Silva compared Mendy to the mascot of Spanish confectionery brand, Conguitos and later posted a indiscriminately video about Mendy's skin.  The 26-year-old asked Mendy if he was wearing clothes despite knowing he is fully dressed in all blacks. How do you replace a player who scored 50 goals with 28 assists in 51 appearance? Impossible right! Liverpool are competing in five fronts this season {the World Club Cup, the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Caraboa Cup} and every fan will be dreaming of seeing them win it all. But achieving that fate will be hard knowing that Jurgen Klopp's team is thin at the moment and lacks the fire power to push in all front. Apart from Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane there's nobody else in the team that can guarantee Liverpool 20 goals in all competition this season.  Divorck Origi though is an exception but the 25-year-old Belgium international is more of an impact substitute rather than a game change.  With that in mine would it be smart to risk Salah, Firmino and Mane- who is already suffering from a dead leg and knock- in the Caraboa?  Is the Caraboa Cup so important that Jurgen Klopp will be willing to risk the world best trio in a $2m worth cup.  If no, then there's no point prioritize the match knowing that Liverpool&

Lionel Messi is the FIFA World Best Player for the sixth time in history but something is not right about the voting system.  Olympic team coach Shakwy Ghareeb and Egypt national captain Ahmed Elmohamady have both come out to say their votes weren't counted. Cause if it were, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah would've been sitting alongside Van Dijk and not just Messi. J urgen Klopp metallic style of playing football have finally gotten the approval its craves from the world governing body -FIFA.  The German tactician used that Gegen pressing/long balls to win Liverpool their sixth Champions League along with the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea.  And in the Premier League, Liverpool have lost just twice in 52 premier league matches and are still unbeaten at home since 2017.  Added to that Liverpool this season are the only team in Europe's top five division to win 6 of their opening six matches in a row.  No doubt Klopp is a fantastic manager but beating Pep Guardiola to the FIFA World Best Coach feels strange and questionable.  Why? The blockbuster encounter between Chelsea vs Liverpool will see two of Europe's finest teams pelt their wits and tricks against each other. Virgil van Dijk is a world class defender, a leader and above all a professional player who knows ever detail of his job and how to do it.
